Karambolage created this splendid video footage to one of my tracks i gave to Uran97 in the year ~maybe 2000? ( In my terms, ages ~~ ). I think their work is amazing and i decided i owe them a bottle of wine whenever i can and send a massive hi to germany!

Check out their stuff here and here on Vimeo and give them some

    Berlin calling

I have to admit i wasn’t the biggest Kalkbrenner fan. I’ve first heard about him as Paul db, when an ep called Friedrichshain on Bpitch managed to get into my playlist and stayed there… In fact i liked this record so much, i took it with me to England. ( Discogs says. this was actually the first record he released. ) I also owned his later album Superimpose ( Bpitch/2001 ) which was strange! But still….and later….saw him live and so on….and on ~~.

Nevertheless theres some ‘new’ tunage on the run that i believe is worth a mention. May it be only for the simple reason of the nearly guaranteed “whats these tunes you’re playing”-factor at house-partys / BBQ / sit-in or sit-outs but also if you listen closer you’ll find something maybe special ( or is that me ) about it which is tricky to pinpoint but somehow makes you want to play it again.

What is it? Is it Berlin? Is it Kalkbrenner? Is it because i’ve watched Berlin calling?? I’m stuck with wth! But i like it and its nice to see everyone else around (mostly) does think the same.
